This is an estate sale find. The owner of this was a musician and a world traveler. There is a drawing of a woman's face on the flute and it is done in pencil and the flute has a coating of clear varnish to preserve the art work. The woman's face is Native American and she has a headband and long braided hair. There is a set of two rings made of white and dark blue silk and they have some fringe. Very elegant musical instrument. Possibly a Rainmakers Sacred Instrument. This is not a straight flute - it has a curve to it. It has 7 holes, and in the tradition of recorders one is on the bottom.
I can not say what type of wood this is- or what key it is in. It has a high sweet light sound. And I struggled to get that because I do not play this instrument.
