My name is Andréa Hall and in addition to owning Hall Double Reed and halldoublereed.com I am a professional oboist and educator. I currently serve as full-time English horn and oboist for the Anchorage Symphony and principal oboist for the Anchorage Opera Company. I have served as oboist for the Virginia Symphony, Asheville Symphony, Asheville Lyric Opera, Appalachian Symphony, Florida Orchestra, Sarasota Opera and the Lakeland Imperial Orchestra as well as others. I have a number of oboe and English horn students that I teach from my private studio. I teach master classes as well as sectional coaching in local middle and high schools.
My reeds are currently being played in all 50 states and 14 countries.
My Student reeds are very similar to my Professional reeds except that they are softer and freer-blowing for the oboist who's embrochure is not yet stengthened. This helps with fatigue in student players. Just as with the Professional reeds they are always tuned to A440 based on your elevation. (Visit my about me page for more information on this.) I use only the highest quality materials and reed making equipment. Reeds are wrapped on my exclusive HDR 47mm brass staples. Reed scrape can be classified as an American Style with a very smooth profile.
All reed orders are shipped via Priority Mail.

Soft, Medium Soft or Medium.
