Greetings
Up for auction is a near mint Selmer "D" Scroll (long shank) tenor mouthpiece.
There are the slightest scratches are on the "beak" no gouges, or teeth marks.
The table is flat. ( that is the part the shank of the reed will lay on)
The rails are not gouged and quite even ( morgan refacing kit)
The mouthpiece has a very slight build up of calcium close to the tip, you can see it inthe picture.
This mouthpiece HAS NOT been re-faced and is ORIGINAL.
I am not going to go on about players in the past who have used this stye of piece, nor will I use works like warm, and silky to convey the tone........simply put.......what you put into it is what you will get out.
I have used this piece in the club date band, for the sax section in the big band, and the concert band...all with wonderful results.
There is NO ligature or cap.
This mouthpiece has been sanitized.
