TONE! TONE! TONE!
I've owned this amp for about 29 years. My uncle bought it new when he was in a polka band in high school. I've decided to "thin the herd" and this one I've decided to sell (check my other items up for auction).
The speaker cab that originally came with this amp head is long gone. The tolex covering has been painted black in the late 80's and a master volume knob was added by a repair shop. I was not very knowlegeable about gain stages and had asked for a master volume wanting another gain stage. I got what I asked for, but not what I wanted and desecrated a vintage amp in the process. Who knew these would end up being collectable?
I believe the tubes are stock, except for a power tube. Tubes are as follows (l to r) 12AX7, 6L6GC (2), 6FQ7, 12AX7 (3), 6FQ7
I do not have the footswitch.
The picture of the bottom of the amp shows ther original tolex color. The black smudges are paint overspray when I painted the head black. It is not smoke. It has NOT been in a fire.
This amp works perfectly. Great tone, as only a vintage tube amp can provide.
I hate to let it go, but recent marriage dictates I liquidate some of my closet gems.
